The Dire King by William Ritter

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Dire King by William Ritter. Abigail and Jackaby must attempt to save the world as they know it. Of course all of their ready made plans are not going to go as planned and it ends up going terrible awry. I love the references to older poems and Shakespearean in this book. I love how History remains to be written and how it gets referred to in this book. I think now Ritter should begin a Rook series because it needs to be done!!!!! Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter. The Jackaby Series feels like it will always be something I can go back to and read again. Maybe then I can see it the way Jackaby does. 10 years ago Jenny Cavanaugh’s world changed for eternity and as she begins to run through the emotions of what happened then she sets in motion a way to change her world once again. New Fiddleham is full of paranormal both good and evil and I can’t wait to get to Book 4! Light Years by Kass Morgan

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @popthebutterfly readalong. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Light Years by Kass Morgan. I didn’t fall in love with this book immediately, it took quite a few chapters to really grab my attention and required focus to keep characters straight but when the action started and I was invested in the future of these characters I was hooked. Teenagers from different sectors must learn to navigate inside of a prominent military academy. The 4 main characters are all struggling for very different reasons but must learn to work as a team. Vesper need to prove to her mother she is the best to keep her place in the academy, Cormak needs to lead the life his brother would be proud of, Arran wants to find himself in the mess of his own doubts, Orelia is on a personal mission to save her race no matter what the cost. In order to accomplish any of these goals they must work as a team to survive their first year. One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @popthebutterfly readalong. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. Life as A teenager is complicated. There’s drama and gossip and sports and fitting in with the right crowd add suspected murder and technology to the mix and the world becomes uncontrollable on its best day. 5 teens end up in detention and a when a car accident happens the teacher is away when a well known student has an allergic reaction that ends his life. 4 teens then struggle with the trauma of losing a friend while fighting off rumors, nosy reporters and suspecting police officers at every turn they take. As if high school isn’t hard enough imagine being a murder suspect before your 18th birthday and everything you do being watched under a microscope. The mystery of this murder lies in rumors unearthed on the internet. Be careful who you think is guilty because just when you think you have it figured out all the other teens involved look just as guilty. I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. This was a #buddyread for me with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand after a terrible reading slump in August. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. A wonderful combination of true crime and fiction tied into a retelling of a serial killer. The author takes you on a thrill ride through London in the late 1800s and includes all the details of afternoon tea parties and medical terminology all tied into an amazing story.
