Archenemies by Marissa Meyer

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @popthebutterfly readalong. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Archenemies by Marissa Meyer. I enjoyed the second book more than the first although I caught myself drifting about half way through it because the action began to slack, but it picks right back up and the suspense builds back up at the end. Meyer just has a way of pulling you in for that cliffhanger ending which leaves you needing to read the next one. Unfortunately we must wait until November for the final book of this series. Nova continues her battle of good vs. evil while continuing to dawn her Renegade uniform everyday and reporting for superhero duty hiding the biggest secret of her life. Adrian continues to hide his Sentinel powers from his Dad and friends and most of all Nova. Both trying to hide from one another but still drawn into romantic feelings neither can sort. Oh the world of love in superheroes and supervillians must be so complicated. Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. Actually I purchased this book because I wanted to read Archenemies, so not to irritate Paige or Craig by reading books out of order I had to read this one before reading the second one. Which I am famous for doing because I buy a lot of books because I like the cover. 🀣🀣🀣 All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Renegades by Marissa Meyer. I am a superhero fan, well not superhero fan but a supervillian fan. However, they are like the chicken and the egg, you can’t have one without the other. This book was right up my alley with a girl that has superhero powers but is anonymous enough she can fool both the villains and the superheroes to make them all believe she is one of them. Truthfully though, Nova has her own motives and her own reasons for hating superheroes. A deep family hatred that is rooted in her past. Her quest for vengeance makes her question does she have what it takes to continue down the path she is on. Six of the most dangerous people in Ketterdam head to the Ice Castle each praying to come out alive. A Whole New World by Liz Braswell

I purchased this book from Half Priced Books to read and #buddyread with my bestie Christina. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Whole New World by Liz Braswell. Everyone loves Once upon a time and Happily Ever After but what makes it great is the story in the middle of those two lines. In A Whole New World all of the characters from the Disney movie Aladdin are here, but the twist comes when Aladdin doesn’t find the lamp. What will happen to Jasmine? The genie? Agrabah? with all the power shifted? An amazing twist on a fairytale we all love so much with just a little more evil than would be expected. This edge of your seat, twisted tale will have you turning pages faster than you think. I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne. 17 year old Stella is no stranger to change, her entire life has been being shuffled from one place to another to please someone other than herself, but when she applies for a new job off her present ship she has no idea just how much her future will change. Not just for a better opportunity but for her heart. Everyone she thought she loved she learns quickly that love was only placed there to protect her while growing. After her 18th birthday her life takes a quick turn that has her searching not just for true love but for a place to call home. I never knew space would pull me in like this one did. I think Jon and his well placed Earth jokes kept me hoping for life on Earth. Harley Quinn: Mad Love by Paul Dini and Pat Cadigan

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Harley Quinn: Mad Love by Paul Dini and Pat Cadigan. 5 stars because well, Harley Quinn. Yes I wanted to love this book and it was a fast paced read with adventure on every page, but truthfully I wanted a different story. Wonderfully written and everything a comic book should be. Harlene Quinn grew up in Brooklyn with a father for a criminal and a mother that pushed her to be something more. Harley studies gymnastics and prepares for a scholarship to go to college, attends medical school, and becomes a successful psychiatrist and this is where everything becomes complicated for Harley. Her revenge she’s been seeking since childhood grows into a complicated love story with Puddin and a strange hatred for Batman. Until one day she realizes Puddin isn’t what she really needs to get to her revenge. Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon. A twist on an old Dickens classic that will have you on the edge of your seat. This book is a love story within a love story full of thieves, robbers, cops, upper society, and a murder in less than 400 pages. It is an edge of the seat read that will have you rooting for the bad guys just as much as you are hoping for the good guys! I am happy this was my choice for my final book of 2018! Here is to bringing on more books in 2019 that will keep us all occupied!
