It’s Always The Husband

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @purewowbookclub. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 It’s Always The Husband by Michele Campbell. Well I can’t even say I’m mad because it was a thrilling ride. Three girls, friends since college, hiding each other’s secrets, covering each other’s tracks until after 20 years one friend betrays another and all rules of friendship are lost. One friend found dead leads the entire town on a chase after everyone and everything associated with their past in suspicious circumstances. A roller coaster of a book that leaves you chasing suspect after suspect up until the very end. Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with #modernmrsdarcy bookclub for the April pick. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie. The bond between a brother and sister runs deep, the bond between twins is fierce. This book took a few chapters for me to get into and I almost put it down. But I am glad I stuck through it. Once the plot twists and the manipulation begins you can’t help but wonder why. This truly heart wrenching tale will keep you wanting more even when the end comes. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯Review also posted on Instagram @borenbooks, Library Thing, Go Read, Goodreads/StacieBoren, Amazon, Twitter @jason_stacie and my blog at readsbystacie.com

Sunburn by Laura Lippman

I won this book in a giveaway by @purewowbookclub partnered with @willammorrowbooks. It was also a buddy read with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand All opinions are my own. β˜€οΈ Sunburn by Laura Lippman. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟This book is a roller coaster ride of plot twists, characters, and emotions. Polly leaves her family, longing for personal freedom and is followed by Adam, who quickly becomes side-tracked with his purpose and falls in love, or maybe not love but lust with Polly. Small town Belleville, Delaware and later Boston are rocked to the core in a series of shocking, all accidental on purpose events that effect everyone’s lives in 1995 and a long future after that. β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ When I first began this novel I must say I didn’t like Polly, something about her didn’t see quite right, but the more I read the more invested in her character I became. I wanted to see her succeed and find her personal freedom she longed for. And many, many times I was screaming wth did you just do????? As if she could hear my screams!
