I purchased this book from Half Priced Books and read it with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch. A wonderfully written summer feeling read is just what you need in the middle of February. 16 year old Lina just lost her mom in a battle with pancreatic cancer and her mom’s dying wish was for Lina to go to Italy. Archenemies by Marissa Meyer

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @popthebutterfly readalong. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Archenemies by Marissa Meyer. I enjoyed the second book more than the first although I caught myself drifting about half way through it because the action began to slack, but it picks right back up and the suspense builds back up at the end. Meyer just has a way of pulling you in for that cliffhanger ending which leaves you needing to read the next one. Unfortunately we must wait until November for the final book of this series. Nova continues her battle of good vs. evil while continuing to dawn her Renegade uniform everyday and reporting for superhero duty hiding the biggest secret of her life. Adrian continues to hide his Sentinel powers from his Dad and friends and most of all Nova. Both trying to hide from one another but still drawn into romantic feelings neither can sort. Oh the world of love in superheroes and supervillians must be so complicated. Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks

I purchased this book from book of the month to read with my bestie Christina All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks. Such a cute story of Hope and Tru. His name is Tru. Her name is Hope. Tru Hope couldn’t make a better story! Tru from Africa, Hope from North Carolina meet on a beach and begins a whirlwind romance that keeps the other hoping for those same feelings for over 20 years. Only a miracle could bring these two back to where they need to be. I didn’t particularly care for the ending of story, it was such a sweet thought turned sour quickly but all in all the writing was beautiful and wonderfully descriptive. It felt like I could read this and taste the salt water in the air. Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. Actually I purchased this book because I wanted to read Archenemies, so not to irritate Paige or Craig by reading books out of order I had to read this one before reading the second one. Which I am famous for doing because I buy a lot of books because I like the cover. 🀣🀣🀣 All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Renegades by Marissa Meyer. I am a superhero fan, well not superhero fan but a supervillian fan. However, they are like the chicken and the egg, you can’t have one without the other. This book was right up my alley with a girl that has superhero powers but is anonymous enough she can fool both the villains and the superheroes to make them all believe she is one of them. Truthfully though, Nova has her own motives and her own reasons for hating superheroes. A deep family hatred that is rooted in her past. Her quest for vengeance makes her question does she have what it takes to continue down the path she is on. I purchased this book from Amazon to read with my sister and proverbs 31 online bible study. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way by Lysa Terkeurst. Sometimes life hands us lemons, sometimes life throws us curve balls we never saw coming, and sometimes life knocks us on the ground and keeps punching and kicking until there is no fight left in us. That is where this book fits in. Whether you’ve just been handed a lemon or taken more punches than you ever knew existed this book helps you reach a place where you say it’s ok to not be ok. When you finally throw up your hands and say ok dust…..I get it. Even when you aren’t getting the answers you need, you aren’t hearing the words you want said, or you just aren’t sure that prayer will ever be answered this book helps you through the messy middle of life. Lysa uses her own tragedies but ties them in a way that no matter what your trials are you can relate. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I purchased this book from Half Priced Books to read with my bestie Christina All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. This book left me wrecked and fulfilled in the same breath. The world building is beautiful even in the slums of The Barrell. In the aftermath of the breaking into the Ice Castle. Kaz and his band of misfits are on the brink of disaster with the entire town looking to claim the price on their heads. Wylan’s dad is a monster like no other and the entire gang will work to their death to ruin his reputation. Golden State by Ben H Winters

I purchased this book from @bookofthemonth to read. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Golden State by Ben H Winters. This dystopian novel will suck you into it’s mystery and action. It is stories inside of stories buildt upon stories of what the truth is known to be. Laszlo Ratesic has lived his life based on truth. Facts that are concrete and absolute. But in two days his world comes crashing down around him and it takes a very wrong turn for him to realize truth is based on perception not buildt on facts. While this book wrapped me in a world unknown I didn’t complete enjoy the twist at the end. It does bring some closure to the book just not in a way I expected.
