The Bride Test

I purchased this book from @bookofthemonth to #buddyread with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand. All opinions are my own. šŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸ The Bride Test by Helen Hoang. I never read The Kiss Quotient and I had no idea that this was a spin-off or continuation of that book, however reading this one I didn’t feel like I missed anything. Esme Tran has always felt out of place. Part American, part Vietnamese with green eyes, a young mother that never married, cleaning bathrooms in a hotel, so when an opportunity to go to America presents itself, she jumps at it. The opportunity though is only temporary. She must make the autistic, self-sufficient, no emotion feeling, Khai Diep, fall in love with her before the summer ends or she must return to Vietnam. The journey this book takes is wonderful and funny and romantic and happy and sad and everything you could want it to be until the twist at the end and then I wanted to throw the book on the floor and stomp on it. I loved everything about this book until then though! I was just so mad at the way it ended.
