I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @saltwaterreads. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We Were Mothers by Katie Sise. In the beginning of this book I was feeling a bit frustrated about the time and the people arrangement of chapters but it quickly meshed together and I overcame that. In idyllic Ravendale everyone must be seen as “the perfect family”. Your kids must be smarter, your spouses must work harder, and every wife must be a stay a home mom, until one day at a twin’s birthday the dark, dirty secrets of the people inside of this tiny town slowly begin to unravel and when they surface the only people who will walk away are able to say, “Because we were mothers.” I love how each character pulled you into their own world and you experienced things from where they stood. Licensed Vocational Nurse for Special Needs Pediatrics turned stay at home mom. I have enjoyed reading for as long as I can remember. I will read anything from children's books, novels, short stories, and even instruction manuals! I am a true book nerd. View all posts by Stacie Boren
