Thanks to @kidlitexchange for the review copy of this book. All opinions are my own. 🙃 Beatrice Zinker Upside Down Thinker by Shelley Johannes. As second grade ends Beatrice is given an award for her unusual way of getting things done and she plots how to begin third grade with a secret mission and her best friend Lenny. Only when third grade begins, she has a strict teacher with strict rules and her best friend didn’t wear her ninja costume and now the whole mission is in jeopardy. This top secret plan just went topsy turvy over a new friend and a pink sweater. Quick to think at recess Beatrice jumps to the trees, but in a fall she learns the day might not end well. After compromising some thoughts in her head she comes up with a Plan B and sets it into motion, learning that sometimes compromise is the best way to go and still be able to be you. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A cute chapter book recommended for middle grade readers with hand drawn illustrations.
