I won this book in an author giveaway. Thank you @hoangchitruong for this book. All opinions are my own. ššššš No Ordinary Sue by Hoang Chi Truong. Sue was an ordinary pumpkin on an ordinary farm in California until one day she awoke in the middle of a 100 year flood of the Sacramento River. This timid pumpkin learns strength and courage through a few adventures of helping others. I enjoyed that at the end of the book there are discussion questions that involve natural disasters where the devastation and recovery can be discussed with children who have been in this situation. Since we live in Texas and just last summer experienced a 500 year flood of the Brazos River it was amazing we could relate to this story and discuss some of the fears and anxieties that Sue must have felt too.
