Inside The O’Briens by Lisa Genova

I purchased this book from Amazon to read. All opinions are my own. šŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸ Inside The O’Briens by Lisa Genova. Ever since reading Left Neglected with @diversebookclub I have purchased a Lisa Genova book every month to read this month’s choice was Inside the O’Briens and if growing up Irish Catholic in Boston isn’t hard enough on one person how about being in law enforcement with a family of four children and being diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in the prime of your life? The struggle for Joe O’Brien is real and if it’s not real enough for you that Joe has Huntington’s imagine how the rest of the family feels knowing this genetic disease could potentially effect future generations of O’Briens. This book takes you through each of their lives and is heart wrenching but when it all seems to becoming overwhelming someone in this family steps up to “stay in the fight”. There are not enough words to explain this novel so just read it! šŸ¤£ Review also posted on Instagram @borenbooks, Library Thing, Go Read, Goodreads/StacieBoren, Amazon, Twitter @jason_stacie and my blog at readsbystacie.com
