Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with @diversebookclub for their middle grade April pick. All opinions are my own. 🐱 Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Applegate has amazed me yet again with her writing. And although this book was printed before Wishtree it is truly a heart warming story too. It almost seem like she has put you right in the middle of these children’s thoughts and you want to fight for them. In Crenshaw, Jackson is old enough to understand his family doesn’t have much and sometimes they have nothing but he wraps it all up in himself until he can’t anymore. He realizes what’s going on and that it will effect school, friends, and his family and he thinks his parents are trying to hide things from him. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱 Review also posted on Instagram @borenbooks, Go Read, Library Thing, Amazon, Goodreads/StacieBoren, Twitter @jason_stacie and my blog at readsbystacie.com
