The Welcome Home Diner by Peggy Lampman

Thank you to VIP #grownupreads for a copy of The Welcome Home Diner by Peggy Lampman for me to read. All opinions are my own. I needed a great heartwarming story to kind of slow things down after the week I had and this was great timing. 🌟🌟🌟🌟Two cousins that grew up in very different worlds shared a grandmother. As grown women the set out on their own to build Detroit to be a better place. The sink everything into a vintage diner in an attempt to pull the neighborhood closer. Along the journey they become tangled in romantic turmoils and pressure from outside. Will their dream survive the tremendous pressure they are experiencing? Lovely recipes at the end of the book that I am so ready to get into the kitchen and get working on too! A bonus for reading the book! Review also posted on Instagram @jasonnstacie, Library Thing, and Goodreads/StacieBoren.
